I have a product in two categories.
When i view products in the first category and click on a product (from the first category) the main product page opens and the breadcrumb displays the second category.
I think this must have something to do with me having canonical urls enabled
Is there a way to fix this?
I am using nop 4.2 with Wristwear Theme from nopAccelerate

I have unchecked canonical urls but breadcrumb continues to show wrong path.

Any help please?

Breadcrumb does not depend on referrer page. You can invoke product page from category 1, category 2, search page, manufacturer page, vendor page, home page or even by direct typing the url. In all of these cases, breadcrumb will be same.

Thank you for your answer.
Theoretically I will agree with you, but consider this
Product Bracelet for woman and men
I assign the product Bracelet in category 1 (men) and the same product in cat 2 (woman)
I am a men and want to browse for men bracelets
I click on product Bracelet in category men and breadcrumb shows woman's bracelets
So if I want to navigate back, by clicking the link in the breadcrumb, to continue browsing men's bracelets this is not possible.
I hope you see the problem I am facing.
