Download nopCommerce folder from server to Visual Studio 2010 project

I have a new PC with Visual Studio 2010 on it.

My web server has a folder with the nopCommerce site inside of it, and I was wondering about the best way to create a new Visual Studio 2010 project or site based off of that.

Also, would the files be kept locally as well?  Should I download all of the files and then make a new project?  Or, is there a different option.

Your best to download nopcommerce source code and use that as the project.  You can then copy overwrite any changes you've made to the base install.
