I'm just building a widget plugin that will display "banners". I think it would be useful to include another WidgetZone to the possible placeholders, which is only the HomePage. Like a BeforeMainColumn that is only called in the Home view.
To me, it's obvious there are lot of widgets in real-life eshops that only apply to the homepage: from social feeds to recommendations or special offers, and so on.
What do people you think? Is this 1 line change something that sounds OK? :)
