Is there a general setting to turn newsletters off so that the Subscribe to Newsletters box dissapears as does the tick box on the customer registration page? I have searched but can't find a setting, or do I just remove the block from the view (_ColumnsTwo.cshtml in my case)
The quickest way is to look in the database settings table to see if there is a setting for it, I can't remember off the top of my head, but I am pretty sure there is though, failing that just comment out the code.
