Problems moving nopCommerce installation

Hello,

i am forced to move my installation to a new system.

What i did:

-Installed windows 8.1 Professional
-Installed MS SQL Server 2012
-attached my shop database (detached and copied from previous, working system on windows 8.0), changed access rights for database
-enable some disabled software features in windows 8.1 professional like IIS,asp
-created Website in IIS including folder and access-rights
-changed Windows Firewall settings (checkbox allow http for private and public networks)
a) copied data from my nopcommerce backup in the IIS Website folder
b) copied/published data in the folder over network from unchanged Visual Studio nopcommerce Project (admin and nop.web)

a+b both not working. Site not responding/availiable. I dont know why. Error message is not concrete.

Now iam searching for the problem.

Will it work that way or is it not possible to get the site back online that way?
Do i need other software?

As long as you took a backup of your database and restored on your new machine's SQL Server and moved all the web files (along with settings.txt to link database), you should be good.

In your case, please make sure you have configured the website properly on your new machine.
