UrlRecord Slug decode SeName

I need to keep come characters in the slug like: #, |, spaces, etc.
An individual item that belongs to a group needs to retain those characters in the slug while being redirected.
Where/how to decode?

Came across the string okChars in Nop.Services/Seo/SeoExtensions.cs... I might work with that along with some substring and delimiter and append to the name2 to circumvent the seo cleaning to retain "parameters". If anyone has a different way?
