need to change in code.

You have to change some of the parameter settings from SearchProducts method of the product service.

I disagree.  filteredSpecs is already a parameter of SearchProducts method .

I think this is purely an MVC thing....  i.e. changes to Model / View / Controller to add additional params for specifications in the user interface and support them via model and controller.  (and adjust the model to suppress the vendor search)
