Hi Folks
New website up and running, first order just in, but can't get PDF Invoice or Print Packing Slips.
I've read all the topics on this but my problems are:

I don't have Visual Studio to do any development with iText etc
I can't get into Business Logic files within GoDaddy to edit etc.

The company I was with before had an option to Print Word Invoice

So my question is: Is there anyway to create Invoices and Packing Slips in Word
apart from copy & paste every bit of info realtime (Last resort)

Any help would be appreciated.

Many Thanks

the simplest option is to find a host that supports full trust ( godaddy doesn't)

eg softsys

Hi haydie
Thanks for the comment.

I am aware of the changing hosting company to such as Arivex or the one
you mentioned, the only thing that worries me is having to start again.

Can you advise me on whether everything is moved over exactly the way
the website is.... layout, added topics, products, categories, customers,
product images etc etc?

This would help me to make the move.

Thanks in anticipation

If you can FTP all of your files for your current nop installation to your computer and also a backup copy of your SQL files, then after you've got your Arvixe account setup you can transfer them all to Arvixe. It should keep everything. Obviously there is no way anyone can promise you that things will go smoothly.

My other question would be why are you using an outdated version of nop?

Thanks for that.
Hopefully I can do that and all goes well.

The version 1.60 was for some reason the first one I saw and went for it.

I posted a question a few days ago about Customer Pre Order facilities but
got not answers.

I'm just worried if by upgrading, it will mess the site up, as I read various things
going wrong once someone has upgraded.

Thanks again.

Hi Geoff,

some people have difficulties upgrading but really, it is quite a simple process

for you, it should be easier than most because you are in effect making a new instal on a new server - which means your current store will be completely unaffected until your new install is ready

all you need to do is make a backup of your database - recreate the database on your local machine

run the 1.6, 1.7, 1.8,1.9 upgrade scripts over

then copy this database on your new server
