Installation no-source self contained full of junk?

Hi all,
nopCommerce newbie here.
I wanted to try to install the web ready version but when I unpacked the folder it seems to be full of language folders and hundreds of dll files. It doesn't look like a web site ready installation or something I can just copy over to a web server and fire up in IIS. Is this how it should be?
Nothing in the installation guides mentions all these files or what to do with them.
Can anyone help explain.

I must be missing some vital part of the installation process.
I have unpacked all the files in the file nopCommerce_4.20_NoSource_SelfContained.rar, created a new blank database in SQL Server, set up a site in IIS and set the root folder as the folder containing all the unpacked files. But I can't run the site at all, I get an error "The Web server is configured to not list the contents of this directory." There don't seem to be any default files like index.htm or any web pages at all.
Can anyone help me understand how to get a nopcommerce site actually running in IIS?

I got the installation to work. I needed to install the .NET Core 2.2 runtime module for server, and set modify folder permissions to the users  (<Your Server Name>\Users) .
I still don't understand why the root folder exposes all those dll files, or why I need all those language folders. It just seems messy to me.
