I am doing a research on the best hosting server for nopcommerce.

I would like to hear from all the forum members who are using Arvixe, Softsys Hosting, LLC, Applied Innovations or any other hosting company...

I would really appreciate if you could share your experience with me regarding your hosting server / company:

1) Which is your hosting company ?
2) Have you ever faced any issues with your hosting server ?
3) How much you pay to your hosting company ?
4) Is your hosting company the cheapest one out of all the recommended hosting servers for nopcommerce ?
5) How is the speed of your website on your server ? Is is ok ? or Very Good ? or Slow ?
6) Does your hosting company offer full trust ? If yes then please tell me you had to specially ask hosting company to give full trust or they offer full trust by default ?
7) Does your hosting company support 4.0 framework ?

I would also like to hear feedback from them.  I want to switch from Gaydaddy.com to something better.

Hi All,
Well I'm with m6.net and I've found them helpful and they have the pricing structure that I'm after. I was looking for flexibility in subdomains and databases and these guys are cost effective for me.

However I have an issue that is more serious and that is .Net 4.0! Plesk don't support it and won't say when.

Yes. I have talked with them personally on the phone and their web hosting service provides services to a lot of clients. Because of this, their servers go down sometimes. Whenever my website has gone down, I go to their home page, http://www.ixwebhosting.com/ and I click on, "Live Chat", where a new window opens and I chat with a live technical support person. They have always fixed any issues I have had within minutes.

3) How much you pay to your hosting company ?

$130.00 per year.

4) Is your hosting company the cheapest one out of all the recommended hosting servers for nopcommerce ?

I have not looked into the other recommended web hosting servers for nopCommerce but I did do a lot of research before I purchased web hosting service through my current provider. The services they offer for the price they charge is hard to match. One of the greatest features, I think, is that they give 10GB of database space.

5) How is the speed of your website on your server ? Is is ok ? or Very Good ? or Slow ?

I have created many websites on my hosting server. The websites that I create are customized for specific purposes seem to run a lot faster than nopCommerce. I think this is because nopCommerce tries to please everyone so it is bundled with a lot of features that are not necessarily needed for everyone. I have gained a lot of speed from my nopCommerce application by eliminating unwanted features and limiting the connections to the database.  You can gain a lot of performance optimization by adding your own code to process all the nopCommerce functions that want to access the database. However, be careful because nopCommerce utilizes many security features that should not be altered like the Membership Provider.

6) Does your hosting company offer full trust ? If yes then please tell me you had to specially ask hosting company to give full trust or they offer full trust by default ?

IX Web Hosting gives clients full control over how their domains are configured. I never had to ask IX Web Hosting to give full trust. The only time I ever hear the term “full trust” is here in these forums. nopCommerce worked with my web hosting provider the first time I ran it.

7) Does your hosting company support 4.0 framework ?

Not at the moment but they have said it is on their roadmap.
