displaying number of products against product categories

Hello,

is it possible to display the number of products in the particular category on the main page as follows

   Books (15)
   Music (12)
   Racquets (15)
   Shorts (9)
   Sunglasses(14)

Configuration>Global Settings>
Then under Products Tab you will find first option:
"Show the number of distinct products besides each category"
just tick the box next to this option and save your settings. Here we go you will see how many products you have for each category.
