2.0 Database compatibility, upgrade, documentation

I'm still deciding whether to start with 1.9 or wait for 2.0

A few questions:
1) My understanding is that 2.0 will initially have most of the features of 1.9. Is the 1.9 User Guide Documentation applicable to 2.0?  (Some, Most, All?)
1a) Would someone be able to provide me with full table of contents of 1.9 docs?  (the site ony has a single page from TOC)

2) Is the 2.0 database same as 1.9?  (Some, Most All?)

3) When 2.0 app initially comes out, will it be able to upgrade the 1.9 database?  If not, any idea how long before that feature is avail?

2. Mostly the same. Some tables are deleted or changed. Just download and install the latest version in order to see the changes.
