I was just playing around with the backend administration and had some sub-categories showing on the home-page I deleted the parent category and the sub-categories were also deleted but are still showing in the shop-front home page. What happened? And how do I fix this?
When you delete a category, its subcategories are not deleted. They're just not loaded to a list(admin area). You can manually enter this category details page (based on ID) in admin area and uncheck 'Show on home page'
