Cannot get newsletter email to confirm?

I have probably not set something up right
but i got my email setup - and signed up for my own newsletter
and got this message
Click here to confirm your subscription to our list.

but when i clicked on it - nothing!
Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

it is routing to this page

pls - what do i have to do?

Seems that you have an extra space in your site URL. Go to admin area > configuration > global settings and remove it ('Store URL' field)
