paypal standard is enabled, but doesn't show up during checkout process

Hi All-
As per the title - I have enabled paypal standard (and only paypal standard), but during the checkout out process it says 'no payment methods available'. Is there an extra step that I need to do aside from enabling it in the admin section in order for this option to appear on the payments method page?
