I'm new to nopCommerce, and I have come to an idea which I would like to share with you.
What do you think about doing some manufacturers' self-service, so they could manage their products by themselves?
So, manufacturer-story would be like this:
1. register to the system as regular customer, but mark special checkBox 'accept me as a seller'
2. wait for auto-generated confirmation e-mail, saying I have been accepted and now have seller priveleges
3. upload products, setting images, type, prices, etc.
4. manage products
Manufacturer (seller) priveleges would basically be owner-rights of the products he/she uploaded. Still shop-admin has full control of everything.
And administrator-story:
1. I have access to special list of manufacturers awaitng activation
2. I can recive notification e-mail when new manufacturer is awaitng activation
3. I can review manufaturer's profile before allowing
4. I can activate manufacturer
With above, nopCommerce could work as shop passage, or e-commerce marketplace with 'shops for lease'.
