Can anyone give me instructions on installing FAQ version 1.8 on NopCommerce version 1.8.  Been trying for a week with no success.

There is not a FAQ feature as such. You can create a FAQ page as a topic (admin>content management>topic>add new) and then include it in your menu bar

What "eadameg" suggested you is the easiest way to accomplish this thing.
