Duplicate URLs

Hello.


I have 2 same URLs

http://xxxxx.ru/c/19/category-name-1
http://xxxxx.ru/c/19/

is it possible to avoid it?

For example if I enter Search engine friendly page name:category-1, so it will 301 redirect from clean URL http://xxxxx.ru/c/19/ to http://xxxxx.ru/c/19/category-name-1

You can enable canonical URLs. You'll not be redirected but canonical url tag will be added to HTML. Go to Admin area > Configuration > General And Miscellaneous Settings > SEO tab > Enable canonical URLs

I have enabled it. But redirect should be, because Search Engines will mark pages as duplicate, and decrease it rating.


Всё включено. Редирект нужно делать обязательно, т.к. смысл их включения теряется, поисковая система пометит эти страницы как задублированные и снизит их позиции в выдаче. Система заявлена как SEO-friendly поэтому один контент = одна страница должно быть основополагающим фактором в её построении.

I have the same problem with duplicate content when the Search engines crawl my website. The canonical URL enable feature is only available for products, categories, and manufacturers. The topics, blogs, blog tags, and news all spawn duplicate content and do effect the SEO ranking. Currently I have over 500 critical errors relating to duplicate content and duplicate title tags. With Google cracking down on sites that are not SEO friendly NopCommerce really needs to be done about this issue ASAP.

around a week ago we have upgrade our shop from system XXXX to version XXXXX

in the old site there were around 230 URLS and after upgrading the
site for some rezone we have more then 1000 pages
with a loot of duplicate contact our home page is index 6 times!!!! by
the site became NOT seo friendly,


1. home pages problem ( the home page is http://www.sohome.co.il)

2.blog pages are also duplicate the rezone is the deterrent in the URL
parameters , also all the blog posts has NO TITLE!!
