Error Message on home page after upgrade from 21. to 2.2

Hi
When i upgraded to 2.2 I got an error message on the home page.  I removed the piece of code highlighted in the error message (@Html.Action("HomepageProducts", "Catalog")) but now don't get products listed on the home page.

Can anyone please explain how I can fix the problem with the page

Presume that your old Nop.Web.dll is not updated or still cached by ASP.NET. Try to clear ASP.NET temporary files folder ()

I tried clearing the cache but it hasn't sorted the problem.  Also restarted the application and got an error message in the log
