If I only edit the CatalogController.cs and rebuild, then can I just publish the Nop.Web.dll, instead of the entire project?

To clarify...
1. edit the file CatalogController.cs
2. rebuild using VS
3. Run prepare and deploy bat files.
4. publish the Nop.Web.dll to the web server.
