Uninstalling the plugins to improve the performance in the admin section

I have got too many plugins installed by default which I am not even using , for instance the discount plugins which are not used by me, by uninstalling these plugins which are not used can improve speed of the admin section ?? or should i just leave it

Sure, it should. I would also delete them from \Plugins directory
