I am trying to install nopCommerce on a Windows 2008 R2 server [default site, application name - 'nopCommerce']. I need database on a different server, so selected 'Use a remote server' and continued the installation. It says
Congratulations! You have successfully installed the following products:
Launch nopCommerce [link]
ASP.NET MVC 3 Tools Update Installer

When I click on the 'Launch nopCommerce' link, it gives me -

Error Summary:
HTTP Error 403.14 - Forbidden

The Web server is configured to not list the contents of this directory.

Detailed Error Information:
Module : DirectoryListingModule                                      Requested URL : http://localhost:80/nopCommerce/
Notification : ExecuteRequestHandler                               Physical Path : C:\inetpub\wwwroot\nopCommerce\
Handler : StaticFile                                                         Logon Method : Anonymous
Error Code : 0x00000000                                               Logon User : Anonymous

Most likely causes:
•A default document is not configured for the requested URL, and directory browsing is not enabled on the server.

It never asked me to configure the database or provide credentials to conenct to my database server. Am I doing something wrong?

Is there any document that I can follow for a proper installation?

Thanks

This issue was resolved. It was an IIS issue rather than anything to do with nopCommerce. I used the aspnet_regiis -i to register ASP.NET and it started working fine - http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/k6h9cz8h.aspx

I think you should contact once to your hosting provider, b'coz sometimes if the configuration is not correct then this issue arises.

Let me know if still it does not workout.
