Order Export Issue

After upgrading from v1.90 the order export for both XML and Excel download all orders, not just the orders from the query results. Is there a simple fix? I have tried 2.00, 2.10, 2.20 and now 2.30. I need this order export to track the sales in another database I use for order fulfillment.

Does anyone have any advice for me on this issue? I would love to upgrade to 2.30, but I need the 1.90 order export functionality.

Are there any plans to adjust how the export function works in version 2.40?

Or does anyone have any quick changes just so the export button will reference the query on the page and not do a full export each time you click it. It worked great in version 1.90.
