how to keep old change when upgrade

I'm using nop2.1 now, and its been changed a bit, how can I keep my change when I upgrade it to the  new version? Thanks,

Hi All,

I am also facing same problem. I am using nopCommerce version 1.4 and we customized some functionality according to our need and also integrated it with other applications. Now I want to upgrade it to v2.30, please suggest how can I upgrade  it without affecting existing functionalities. I want to keep changes we made in v1.4.
