Search on Descriptiona and Manufacture name

I was wondering if there is simple way to allow a SEARCH to also look into the ShortDescription and FullDescription field and also on the Manufacture's Name ...without having to go to the ADVANCED SEARCH.

Normal users expect to write something on the Top Search and click Search.
They don't really click on the Advanced Search if nothing comes up.

So is there a way without me having to either change the Stored Proc or to change the call to SearchProducts, where the Search model is automatically populated with the params "As" and "sId" value to TRUE ?
