Accessing/Transferring Old Content after an upgrade to 1.9

/please/ I need detailed instructions for a non-programmer explaining how to move the contents of the old nopCommerce cart to the new 1.9 after the upgrade.

my old content was in /nopcommerce subdirectory of my site
the new v1.9 cart is in /nopcommerce19 subdirectory.

I am using GoDaddy hosting, Windows, ASP4.0.
It took me FOREVER to figure out and slightly customize the old version. I really, really, really do NOT want to re-enter everything by hand. Could you please advise?

Of course, speed of essence as the store is down altogether, as upgrading from ASP 3.5 to the requisite 4.0 seemed to have killed the older cart. Thanks.
