godaddy dedicated server

We are having a problem with loading time and our site is currently hosted by Godaddy.  Is it better to choose virtual dedicated server with 8GB instead of dedicated server with 4GB for the same amount of money.  Godaddy said Nopcommerce does not need the processor so dedicated server is not necessary for a small web site.   We currently are on their virtual dedicated server with 3GB.  They said to change to 4GB will not help.  Is this true?
