when I load up the files the page works right, but

Everytime I replace the rights in ftp to read write from godaddy, my site bombs out and crashes. I have posted here about a weird 2.30 error that indicates to me that nopcommerce gdi is referencing a file that resides in my local directory??? any help?
ANy ideas?
