registration field required

the following required option is available  at 1.90 ver. How to set the same in 2.30 ver

These options are not available in 2.30. They'll be added back in one of the further releases

How do we set these fields as required as in 2.50? Was it added back by then, or is there another way? It's important the customer's company name and phone number are collected.  Thanks.

Thanks - I've managed to do this by editing the Theme (to add the * next to required fields) and also the RegisterValidator.cs file to add the validation rules for the fields I require.
