access nop namespaces from WPF app

I'm developing a WPF app for the back end picking/packing operations.

Can anyone tell me if the nop namespaces are accessable from another application. Would be nice to use the existing methods to perform updates on the Db.

Just the theory of how this could be done would be appreciated.

Almost all nopCommerce classes are public (hence can be accessed from external assemblies)
