I had downloaded the 01/16/2012 source code and upgraded my client. I did so in order try out the Google AdWords conversion widget someone contributed and because there was a glitch with a data object code in 2.3.
The client, who hasn't launched the site yet, couldn't upload pictures. Apparently, I didn't realize that the 01/16/2012 code set is an early release of 2.4. It looks for a permission setting in order to allow an Administrator to upload pictures. I figured out the the setting wasn't in the database setting table because I didn't run the SQL upgrade script. After I ran the upgrade script, the site bombed out. Turns out that the storeinformationsettings.defaultstorethemefordesktops setting got duplicated when I ran the upgrade script. Appears to be working now.
