@ apiechowski

Did you ping your host? The IP only give me time-outs. (64.202.165.58)

Check it yourself:

start - Run - type: CMD
Type: ping 64.202.165.58
Enter

Good luck

@ jabbawest

I performed a ping to the host : smtpout.secureserver.com and received only time-outs. I suggest you change your smtp host to: smtp.sterlingleafjewelry.com. That host gave me good results.

good luck

Using nopCommerce 1.20

Hi

I am getting the same issue also with GoDaddy.com hosting.

1. I have tested the email account in outlook and works fine
2. testing using Administration>Configuration>global settings>Tab.Mailsettings>Btn.Send Test Email......

test A:
settings:  (SSL=on, port 465, outgoing smtp smtpout.secureserver.net, default credentials=on)
error= Request for the permission of type 'System.Net.Mail.SmtpPermission, System, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' failed.

test B:
settings:  (SSL=off, port 25, outgoing smtp smtpout.secureserver.net, default credentials=on)
error= Failure sending mail.

Would like to know how you get on.

Was anyone able to get a Gmail account working?
Well I finally got Gmail to work. The settings I use are...

Store Admin Email:      Whatever you want to appear in your email 'from' field
Store Admin Email Display Name:    Friendly name for above
Host:    smtp.gmail.com
Port:    587
User:    Your full gmail email address
Password:    Your gmail password
Enable SSL:    SELECTED
Use default credentials:    NOT SELECTED

Hope it works for you!
