upgrade from 1.90 to 2.00

hi I am currently on version 1.90 and i like to update to current 2.50. So i am upgrading from 1.90 to 2.00, 2.10...
But when i run Upgrade script from 1.90 to 2.00 on Sql Server Managment i copy on As New Query and Execute it and it delets all my Table and show lot of errors. Is there a different way to do this or have any videos....
