Hi,

It's probably against the rules, but I'm tired of listening to my host provider blaming my IIS config. for slow response times of my single NopCom v2.5 site.

I'm currently on the Community VPS package provided by Webfusion.co.uk which has 2GB Guaranteed RAM, 2 core Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5620 @ 2.40GHz processor.

I have been monitoring response times for several days now and I'm not happy;

Response Time(ms):  Max :12,403 | Min :239 | Avg :626
Throughput(KB/sec):  Max :126.82 | Min :0.78 | Avg :19.36

The page size according to www.site24x7.com is 9.96 KB

I'm using several services but www.site24x7.com has a trial period which allows you to to monitor a server and URL at 5 minute intervals free for 15 days. They define response time as: "Response time is the time taken to get the full html output from the server. However, it does not include getting the images and other resources that are loaded within the html page."

1) Should I be concerned?

2) Is it wrong to dismiss IIS/server config.?

2) Has anyone else done similar testing? If so what are your results and who's the provider/which package?

3) Can anyone recommend a good reliable UK VPS Host £34.99 INC VAT budget?
