2.6 X showing on top of page even when there isn't a notification

Just upgraded to 2.6 and now there is a notification close X showing even when there isn't a notification. www.graffitix.com to see what I mean. Tnx :-)

You did not properly upgrade. Your theme still uses old CSS file.
P.S. I see that you're using custom theme (GraffitiXDefault).
