Administration link not showing up after logging in with IE

Hello, Using IE , I went to login into my Nop 2.6 website using my admin account and, after submitting my username and password, I'm sent to the home page and the "Log in" link continues to show and the "Administration" link did not show up. I entered the correct username and password, it just went to the Home page and didn't show the logged-in links.  I then changed browsers and tried in Chrome and it logged me in fine and showed the links.  I went back to IE and cleared the cache, cookies, form data, etc. and tried again but still didn't get the links. (I decided then to purposely enter the wrong username and password to see if i'd get the expected error message and I did...)  (After entering the correct username and password and being sent back to the Home page, I decided to see if it thinks I'm logged in and would let me navigate to the Admin section by just typing in the address, but it sent me to the login screen)  I'm using IE 10.0

Is anyone familiar with this  issue and know what the problem is?  I've seen a couple other posts that may be describing the same issue but there weren't any answers...thanks.

I am having a very simular issue.  I have narrowed it down to this:

I have a problem were I have 2 different URLs.  

http://nchfoundation.org/  (NON-SECURE)
https://secure.nchfoundation.org/ (SECURE)

The problem is once I log in it shows I am still not loged in. Once I add something to the cart and get in the secure area it shows i am logged in. Could this be a session code error?  Please advise.
