I don't have a great knowing about IIS and Nopcommerce but today I make a experience with virtual memory in the application pools and get a few interesting results.
I have getting out of memory warnings and Firefox crashes when opening 2 instances of nopcommerce.
The system runs out of memory. In the task manager I see: total, cached, available and free memory quantities and I have confirmed the problem.
My OS is WinServer 2K8 R2 sp1 and have only 2GB of Ram.
Well... I place 160MB of Virtual Memory in the application pools and now I see the Worker processes in the task manager using between 160 and 170MB in the requests processing. Next the worker processes stay between 6 and 7MB of memory.
The impact in the system memory is sensibly smaller. Then I simulate a buying and all runs fine.
The important thing for me is: Nopcommerce can works fine with IIS without hosts Admins placing it offline.
Forgive me if I speak a few bullshit I'm a newbie in Nopcommerce.
