Account creation page - Birthday field

For the birthday field on account creation, i would suggest not using the calendar popup.
If i use the calendar popup then i need to click back 40 years and it's too time consuming.
I would suggest using 3 dropdown lists for the birthday select.  Month, Day and Year

true, but you can also just type in the date
