Out of Memory Exceptions

We are currently implementing nop Commerce and of late have been experiencing out of memory exceptions being logged within the system log, well over 100 in one day on a site that is not live yet. Most point back to either ~/KeepAlive/Ping.ashx or ~/Default.aspx

At one point the site seemed to be completely down, but came back to live once I accessed the admin area. Can anyone shed any light on what might be causing them? The site contains less than 100 products in total.

Anyone any ideas?

is the site live? if so, who is it hosted with ? any other computer / hosting settings ?

Its on shared hosting through Catalyst2, I am thinking it could be down to the shared hosting but I'd like to know a little more before approaching the hosting provider.
