Digital Download Location

Hi all,

I am using nopCommerce v2.80 Multi-Vendor.

SQL Server costs are quite expensive so I would like to store my vendors digital products on the file system.

Currently the vendor can create a product and upload the digital product under the product variant tab. this uploads the file into the database.

Questions:

1) Can this be changes anywhere so the file is uploaded to the file system?

2) If question 1 cannot be achieved can the upload to database feature be disabled for vendors so they are forced to enter a URL location for the digital download?

3) Can a URL location point to another server, for example the vendors own website?

I have tested this and it appears to work.

Still no sure about questions 1 & 2 though :(
