Hi Folks,

We just released DBtoFileSystem Image Converter, a tool that will automatically and painlessly extract the images that are stored in your database now to your local file system while keeping your current images associations intact with the products, variants, categories and manufacturers they are currently assigned to.

- No Need to Manually Convert or Remap Images
- Converts and  Remaps Images Automatically
- Keeps Existing Image Associations
- Auto Generates Image Names Using nopCommerce Image Naming Conventions
- Processes Product, Product Variants, Category and Manufacturer Images

Case Study - Reduce a 1.4GB database to under 200MB
Recently we were asked to help a client move his nopCommerce database to GoDaddy Shared Hosting, which we agreed to do.  However it didn't take long to discover that it was not going to be a simple task....    Read below to see how we helped this client, and how this same tool can help you as well and save you potential downtime and countless hours.

The Solution - DBtoFileSystem Image Converter

We needed a way to extract the images out of the database to the file system for all his products, variants, categories and manufacturers while retaining all of the existing image associations, remapping the new images, and deleting the old database images.  Read on to see how we did it!

If you would like more information or see a demo of DBtoFileSystem Image Converter, please don't hesitate to contact me at [email protected], Skype id NopAdmin, or online chat at www.nopadmin.com.

Thank you!

Kind Regards,
Shawn

Hi,

It looks like the image converter you referenced converts between image formats.   Our converter was written specifically for nopCommerce  and helps store owners and developers change the image storage method from database to file system without losing image references and maps.    It extracts images out of the database and stores them as native files and doesn't convert between formats.  It sounds like your needs may be different..

Thank you for your interest however.

Kind Regards,
Shawn
