Multi site or child portals?

I would like to use nopCommerce to provide multisite ecommerce sites that are branded for the vendor.  Basically, I have a brick and mortar business and I'd like to provide a service that allows people to have their own website that accesses my inventory.  Sort of like presscafe but not exactly.  The docs mention that mojo should not be run in multisite with ecommerce.

Is there a workaround or should I be looking for a different product?

I am just about to install nopCommerce when I saw your port in the forum a couple of years ago asking about a multisite installation. More so, what concerns me is you read that this product shouldn't be used with MojoPortal multi site installation. What did you find out? Are you using mojoPortal? I am but I'm wondering if I'm going to have a problem with the two products working together.
