Could someone please give me a plain English explanation of the difference between these two types of attributes?

Difference between "Product Attributes" and "Specification Attributes"

A product attribute is something that is needed for ordering the product like Size or Color.
A specification is something about the product that groups it with other products like Country of Origin or Brand. A specification attribute is the specification list item. Country of Origin would be {Brazil, India, Mexico, etc}.
