Known problem with Shipping director and Klarna Checkout?

We have are trying to combine the plugins Shipping Director and Klarna Checkout, a Swedish payment plugin but we get a problem with the tax calculation.

We get this message:
Could not initiate the KlarnaCheckout payment process: Bad format: rate

We asked Klarna about it and they say it means the tax is put to an unreasonably high level.

The Klarna plugin works fine together with other tax plugins.
Shipping Director works fine with other payment plugins, it is just when we try to use them together we get this message and we need both plugins to work.

Anyone else experiencing any problems with this?

It seems very odd that the tax rate would be affected by Shipping Director.  I Googled, and see that OpenCart had an issue with "bad format", and it was fixed (although I don't know how):

Are you charging tax on the shipping?

Yes, I'm charging tax on the shipping with 25% and it should be included in the tax I've written in Shipping Director.
Do I need to put a value for that in Shipping Director?
I thought it was enough to set that under Configuration > Settings > Tax settings > Shipping is taxable, Shipping price includes tax and choose a Shipping tax class (which I've called 25% and set the rate to 25 under Tax > Tax providers > Fixed Tax Rate Provider)

I use Nopcommerce version 3.3.
