Product Variant Question

Got a quick question.

When I add a product and save it then it adds a sku under the Product Variant tab of Unnamed product variant .

I am adding alot of single items that dont need multiple variants and I like the idea of  having the prices etc on the Product Info tab like when i initially insert it.

Is the program supposed to work like that?  I guess in my eyes that tab wouldnt be necessary unless I really needed to add multiple skus.

Hopefully i make sense in what i am saying.

So is it possible to keep all that information o the product info page if you really only have the single sku?

It's not possible out of the box. But you can easily customize your store to support this behavior
