Paypal express is not appearing as an option on my payment page. It shows as a separate  button bypassing the collection of customer information.
Any ideas?
Thanks

You mean paypal is not available in checkout. Check that plugin is enabled or not ?

It is showing by not within the payment option section. It's just showing as a separate button located at the bottom of the checkout page.
Thanks
PS it is enabled.

PayPal Express (plugin) is a "Button Payment Method", so it will only be "separate button located at the bottom of the checkout page.".   Use PayPal Standard if you want PayPal on the payment method selection page.  (It will redirect customer to PayPal for payment)

I Agree Paypal express is Button payment method so it will not show as available payment on checkout

Thanks for that. I will try PayPal "Standard" but this forces the customer to have a paypal account before proceeding. This will put-off a number of clients.

Hi David,

Actually, PayPal Standard also has an option of paying directly with a card. The only trade-off with this is that by paying directly with a card, they are actually creating an account on PayPal. So when customers are redirected to PayPal they have 2 tabs / options - either pay with a PayPal account or pay directly by entering a card details on their site and creating an account.

Maybe a good idea is also to add another payment method like 2CO for example, where there are much more options of paying.

Hope this is useful.

Best Regards,
Stefan

Hi I have found that when using the sandbox it shows that the customer has to open an account. That is not the case when live -  thanks for your help.
