I signed a contract with a manufacturer to sell their products. I was happy when they said they can give me the images of all the products. But when I got the images I found that they are .eps instead of jpeg.
Is there some benefit that I dont know about these images? What do I do with them? I found that they wont upload to the store.
you can't directly use eps files. EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) is a vector image format. You need a graphic editing tool to convert your images to a format suitable for web like jpg or png. Or just contact your client and ask them to send you the imagery in the proper format.
Indeed, you can look at http://fileinfo.com/extension/eps for what softwares you might want to try. Use these tools , open and convert the images to image file format that you need.

Thanks Viet Nam, OK, I do have photoshop and illustrator. I can batch convert them, but first I will call them as you suggested.
