I need to temporarily set a site wide no index, no follow rule until I am ready to launch my store. My SEO team advised me that google doesn't really like sites that aren't ready to go, as in, your in the process of adding products, development is not complete yet, etc. Since I don't want to chance that, can someone please help guide me here, I would greatly appreciate it!
If you are using nopCommerce 3.80, you can create a custom robots.txt file and place it in the root folder of your store. So add a file named robots.custom.txt with the two lines below as a content in the root folder of your store.
User-agent: * Disallow: /
