images broken, duplicating folder in url

I'm having an issue where all images on my site are broken and when i inspect the image url it is because the folder for my store is duplicated in the path. The site loads and works otherwise, this seems to only affect images.

for instance the store url is something like https://www.storename.com/abc/ but the image is written out as https://www.storename.com/abc/abc/content/images/thumbs/0000258_some_image_here.jpeg.

Note the /abc/abc/ which is incorrect.
Where can I control this? I can't figure it out and I'm pulling my hair out. Why would nopCommerce duplicate a path like that? My images are configured for DB storage.
