Getting the error:
The 'Microsoft.Ace.OLEDB.12.0' provider is not registered on the local machine.
when trying to import products from xcel file.
Running Win Server 2003 and SQL Server 2005, NoppComm 1.5 as installed by the MS
web platform installer.
Any ideas as to the root of this prob?

It is looking for a sheet named Products in the Excel file you are uploading. Also, in my case the error was coming from not having 32 bit applications enabled on the app pool in which nopCommerce was running.
If you are getting the "Products$ is not a valid name" error, try downloading the sample data into and Excel file and taking a look at the columns nopCommerce is expecting.
